Monday, March 11th, we honored this past year’s retirees at UIC’s 37th
Annual Retirement Luncheon, held at the UIC Forum. Robert Crouch played master
of ceremonies as he was joined by Chancellor Paula Allen-Meares, the Vice
Chancellors and University Administrators to honor our retirees for their many
years of service to the University. More than 600 employees retired during the
2011-2012 academic year. This brought us the largest luncheon in recent years
with 151 retirees and over 250 of their family members and UIC friends. It was
a joyful afternoon as we celebrated their accomplishments and wished them
happiness in their future endeavors.
