In
early May, our office announced the beginning of the 2013 Employee Recognition
season and the Award of Merit nominations. The UIC Award of Merit was
established to provide a mechanism for the campus leadership to recognize,
appreciate and honor its outstanding Civil Service and Academic Professional
employees. Employees from units which report to University Administration are
also eligible if they are based in Chicago. In 2013, a maximum of 30 awards
will be given. Recipients will receive a
UIC Award of Merit memento and a $2,500 monetary award.
Award
of Merit, along with recipients of the CAPE Award, INSPIRE, Luminary, and WOW Awards,
and those recognized for 25 years or more of service to UIC will be honored at
the 2013 Employee Recognition Ceremony
on Tuesday, November 5th at the UIC Forum. All employees are welcome
to attend.
